Great setup! We just picked and used ours in the hopback for the first time last week. Aroma is amazing. Enjoy!

did you have to constantly train the bines once they started growing horizontally? Next year I would like to grow my hops horizontally like this

Yep, every few days I very gently twist the lead bines along the clothesline. They attach themselves without much help, but they need a little coaxing to head in the right direction. The longest bine grew to about 30 feet this year, which would make a traditional vertical trellis pretty challenging in my backyard.

Very nice! Did the first harvest of our first-year Cascades last week, the rest will probably be ready soon.

Have you harvested yet? I cant decide if I should just harvest and dry as I did last year or try to plan a brew day accordingly.

Hey DR, I’m harvesting this weekend and brewing a fresh hop IPA. Planning to use a bunch of them at the end of the boil for that dank aroma, and will use regular pellet hops for the main bittering.
